• They didn't interview people on the street. They enrolled 1,364 women in a study and followed them over a period of several years. They classified the women as either not employed, working part time (1-32 hours) or working full time. They looked at what age the womens' children were.

• No offense, but I think you'll find that in middle school is where you really need to be home for your kid. That's when they start getting up to shenanigans when they're left home alone!

• I totally agree! Let's not fight the "mommy wars". For stay at home moms, let's make sure the support systems are there so they don't fall into depression. And for working moms, let's make sure the day care system is as good as it can be.

• How are they pushing values down your throat? No one is making your wife work if she doesn't want to. No one is passing a law that says everyone must work outside the home. People expressing their opinions on a comment board are just people with opinions.

• There's been lots of studies done on the effects of daycare on kids. (Results, basically, good daycare is good for kids. Bad daycare is bad for kids. You can Google them.) Having one study done on moms does not mean people don't care about kids. Sheesh.
